About Us:
We’re a privately owned veterinary hospital that treats cats and dogs only. Our team includes 3 vets and 8 nurses who are passionate, caring, and always willing to lend a hand.
Our clinic is purpose-built and includes:
2 consult rooms
A large surgery area
A comfortable hospital space
A separate, quiet room for cats
We use modern equipment like:
Ultrasound
Digital X-rays
Dental machines
Full in-house testing (histopathology)
Our vets has over 65 years of experience, and we all enjoy working together in a warm, positive environment.

Charlie Seppelt – Head Veterinarian, DVM
Charlie is our Head Veterinarian, and his passion for animals and veterinary medicine shines through in everything he does. With years of experience and a special focus on surgery, Charlie has developed his skills in a wide range of procedures, from soft tissue surgeries like, splenectomies, and gastropexies, to more complex operations like GDVs, foreign body extractions, biopsies, limb amputations and diaphragmatic hernia repairs. His careful and neat handiwork has earned him a reputation for precision, and his deep love for animals ensures he provides the very best care for every patient that comes through our doors.
Charlie’s expertise also extends to orthopedics, having undergone additional training in techniques like de Angelis and MPL’s. His commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest in veterinary care means that our patients receive the highest standard of treatment available.
But beyond his impressive skills, what really sets Charlie apart is his genuine kindness and compassion for animals and their owners. Whether it’s a simple check-up or a complex surgery, Charlie is always happy to stay back when needed, ensuring every pet gets the attention they deserve.
When he’s not at work, Charlie loves spending time with his adorable cavoodle, Honey, who’s a constant source of joy in his life. His unwavering dedication to providing exceptional care and his loving nature make him a valued member of our team, and we’re so fortunate to have him with us.

Dr. Peter – Veterinarian
Pete our vet has over 50 years of veterinary experience. He has been to India on three separate occasions living in Bihar (the poorest state in India) in a TB refuge facility. He worked to treat stray street dogs and village animals for skin diseases, wounds, vaccinations for rabies and de sexing’s with a team of vets from all over the world. He also has a PHD in Molecular Biology and a Masters in Medical Science.
Dr. Elicia – Veterinarian
With nearly 20 years of experience in veterinary medicine, Dr. Elicia is a powerhouse of knowledge, dedication, and heart. She has a deep love for internal medicine and thrives on the challenge of solving even the most complex and puzzling cases. No stone is left unturned when Elicia is on the case, she goes above and beyond to uncover answers and provide the best possible outcomes for her patients.
But it’s not just her clinical brilliance that makes her such a valued part of our team, it’s her wicked sense of humour and down-to-earth nature that bring a spark to every day. She keeps us laughing, thinking, and constantly inspired.
Dr. Elicia’s passion for animals, commitment to excellence, and joyful energy make her an irreplaceable part of our clinic family, and we absolutely love her for it.

Sameera Rathnayake – Veterinarian, BVSc, ME
Dr Sam is a highly dedicated veterinarian who is fully qualified and registered in both Australia and Sri Lanka. He holds a Bachelor of Veterinary Science from Sri Lanka and a Master’s in Epidemiology from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons in the United Kingdom, bringing a strong combination of clinical knowledge and scientific understanding to our team.
Since graduating with second-class honours, Sameera has developed a reputation as a thorough, compassionate, and thoughtful veterinarian. Early in his career he worked at a rescue facility in Sri Lanka, an experience that helped shape his deep commitment to animal welfare. At the clinic, he is known for taking the time to carefully listen to clients and for going above and beyond for his patients.
Sameera is currently studying to sit his Membership examinations, a highly respected postgraduate qualification and one of the most advanced professional milestones in the veterinary field. We are incredibly proud to support him as he works toward this achievement.
Outside of the clinic, Sameera enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, often heading to the beach or taking walks around the beautiful community they call home.
Dr. Rukmali – Veterinarian
Dr. Rukmali Perera is a highly skilled and deeply compassionate veterinarian with an extensive background in disease diagnosis, treatment, and public health. With a career spanning clinical practice and academic excellence, Rukmali brings a wealth of knowledge to our team—alongside a warm, fun-loving personality and a signature cheeky wit that puts both clients and colleagues at ease.
Rukmali earned her Bachelor of Veterinary Science in 2013 in Sri Lanka, where her journey in veterinary medicine began. Her dedication to learning has since led her across the globe, completing both a Master of Philosophy and a Doctorate in Philosophy at Newcastle Univerity.
Beyond her impressive qualifications, Rukmali is known for her empathetic nature and unwavering care for animals. Whether she’s treating a sick pet or providing guidance to a worried owner, her gentle approach and kind nature is welcomed.
Now living in Australia with her beloved husband and beautiful son, Rukmali continues to enrich our practice with her intelligence, heart, and delightful sense of humour.

Dr. Tammy – Veterinarian
Dr Tammy is one of our veterinarians who supports the clinic in a casual capacity. She brings strong clinical experience in small animal medicine and is passionate about helping pets receive the care they need.
Tamra is a dedicated veterinarian who approaches each case with focus and determination, always aiming to achieve the best outcome for her patients.

Georgia Marsden – Managing Director, MBA
Georgia has a big heart for our clinic and has been devoted to caring for animals since she first entered the veterinary world over a decade ago.
Friends and family will tell you: she’s the person who can’t walk past a cat or dog without stopping to say hello, even if it means holding up a whole group on holiday or crouching down to pat a stray in another country. Her love for animals is instinctive, wholehearted, and lifelong, and it’s what drives everything she does.
In 2017, Georgia moved to London to broaden her skills, eventually earning a spot on the Nurse Register with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. That international experience gave her fresh insight into high-quality, compassionate care and strengthened her calm, practical approach.
Georgia also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA), a qualification she’s incredibly proud of after years of hard work, study, and dedication. It’s helped her build a practice that blends clinical excellence with a strong, supportive team culture.
As Managing Director since 2023, Georgia continues to lead with kindness, clarity, and a commitment to making veterinary care accessible and respectful, for pets and people alike. She has a particular interest in soft tissue surgery, laparoscopic procedures, and emergency medicine.
At home, she’s happiest surrounded by her two beautiful children and her animals, including her own two dogs: Ellie the golden retriever and Tank the cavoodle.

Gabby Rooney – Hospital Coordinator
Gabby is our Veterinary Hospital Coordinator, playing a critical role in ensuring the clinic runs smoothly while also being a welcoming and familiar face for our clients. With her warm personality and natural ability to connect with people, Gabby helps create the friendly, supportive environment our practice is known for.
Gabby holds a Certificate III in Companion Animal Services and a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing, giving her strong clinical knowledge alongside her coordination and client care responsibilities. Whether she’s assisting behind the scenes, helping organise the day-to-day operations of the hospital, or supporting clients through their pets’ care, Gabby approaches everything she does with professionalism and kindness.
Having grown up surrounded by Border Collies and Kelpies, Gabby has always had a deep love for animals. At home, she’s kept busy by her two mischievous cats, Bali and Salem, who definitely make sure life is never dull.
Gabby’s energy, compassion, and dedication to both pets and their owners make her an incredibly valued part of our team.

Ebony George – Head Veterinary Nurse
Ebony is our Head Veterinary Nurse, working closely alongside the Hospital Coordinator to ensure the nursing team and surgical areas run smoothly each day. From a young age, Ebony has always had a natural instinct to care for animals, both great and small, and that compassion has grown into a career she truly loves.
As a fully qualified veterinary nurse, Ebony brings a wealth of experience and strong clinical skills to the team. She has a particular strength in surgical nursing and anaesthesia, where her calm, focused approach helps ensure our patients are safe, comfortable, and well cared for throughout their procedures.
Ebony plays an important leadership role within the hospital, supporting the nursing team while maintaining the high standards of patient care our clinic is known for.
Outside of the clinic, Ebony has a special soft spot for chickens and shares her home with three beloved dogs and nine feathered friends, including a very handsome one-footed rooster named Fifi. Her dedication to caring for animals shines both at home and in the clinic.
With her gentle nature, clinical expertise, and genuine love for animals, Ebony is a valued leader within our nursing team and someone both pets and their families can always rely on.

Dillon Spencer – Veterinary Nurse
Dillon has become an incredibly valued member of our team, and we are so proud of how far he has come and the exceptional nurse he has grown into. Since joining our practice while studying his Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing, Dillon has consistently shown dedication, compassion, and a genuine commitment to the animals and families we care for.
Graduating in June 2023, Dillon quickly established himself as a thoughtful and capable nurse who truly cares about every patient that walks through the doors. He is always willing to go the extra mile to help a client or support a pet in need, and his calm, gentle nature makes him a wonderful advocate for animals during their care.
Dillon has a strong passion for wildlife treatment and rehabilitation, which led him to complete training through the Taronga Wildlife Hospital program, further strengthening his ability to assist with the care of Australia’s native wildlife.
He is a much-loved part of the Brisbane Water and Leslie Street Vet family, bringing positivity, kindness, and a genuine love for animals every day. At home, Dillon is kept firmly in line by his very sassy Siamese cat, who definitely runs the household.

Chriss Stokes- Senior Veterinary Nurse
Chris is one of our incredibly experienced Senior Veterinary Nurses, bringing more than a decade of clinical nursing knowledge and leadership to the team. With extensive experience working across busy veterinary hospitals on the Central Coast, including roles as Head Nurse and Nurse Manager, Chris has developed a reputation for her exceptional clinical skills, organisation, and commitment to high standards of patient care.
Chris completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing through TAFE and has continued expanding her expertise through additional training in surgical nursing, physical therapy, and advanced clinical procedures. She is highly skilled in surgical preparation, anaesthesia and monitoring, IV catheterisation, radiography, dental procedures, pathology diagnostics, and hospital patient care. Her calm and capable approach in surgery and emergency situations makes her an invaluable support to both veterinarians and patients.
Beyond her technical abilities, Chris is deeply passionate about animal welfare and delivering the highest standard of care to every patient and client. She is known for her strong leadership, mentoring of nursing staff, and her ability to keep hospital operations running smoothly while maintaining a compassionate and supportive environment.
Chris’s experience, dedication, and clinical excellence make her an incredibly valued member of our team, and we are proud to have such a talented nurse caring for our patients.
Shekinah Grauner – Veterinary Nurse
Shekinah is one of the wonderful members of our nursing team completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. Since joining the clinic, she has quickly become known for her bright personality, kindness, and genuine passion for caring for both animals and their owners.
Clinically, Shekinah has a strong interest in developing her hands-on nursing skills, particularly in areas such as catheter placement and blood collection. She is always eager to learn, refine her techniques, and continue building her knowledge within the veterinary field.
In addition to her nursing role, Shekinah is also the creative mind behind much of our social media, helping share the beautiful moments that happen every day in our clinic. Her creativity and enthusiasm allow our community to see the compassionate care and happy patient stories that make our hospital so special.
Shekinah has a natural ability to connect with people and their pets, always taking the time to chat with clients and celebrate the little wins in their pets’ health journeys. With her warmth, positivity, and dedication, she is a much-loved member of our team.
